BRUSH:
Any brush brought to the Livestock Road Regional Landfill will be charged at the commercial tipping rate fee. The free 500 pound per calendar month guideline does not apply to brush brought to the Livestock Road Regional Landfill.
Unlimited separated loads of brush (no stumps) will be accepted with no limits placed on the number of trips or weight only at the following locations:
- For residents of the City of Lynchburg - Concord Turnpike Convenience Center
- For residents of Campbell County - Campbell County Landfill Center
BULKY WASTE (furniture, household appliances, carpet, etc.):
Unlimited separated loads of any bulky waste will be accepted at the Livestock Road Regional Landfill.
The Concord Turnpike Convenience Center will accept some household appliances such as ranges, wall ovens, and dishwashers.
However, the Concord Turnpike Convenience Center will not accept the following appliances:
- Air conditioners
- Refrigerators
- Freezers
- Any appliance containing Freon
INERT MATERIAL:
Unlimited separated loads of inert materials such as clean dirt, brick, block, and concrete without rebar are accepted free of charge only at the Livestock Road Regional Landfill.
Concord Turnpike Convenience Center will not accept any loads of inert materials.
Inert materials must be fragmented into pieces less than one cubic foot and brought in separate loads, meaning that it cannot be mixed with other household waste.
Note: The scale house operator must be notified of any loads of inert material. The loads will be inspected to qualify as free disposal. If the load of inert material is found to be unacceptable (e.g. mixed with other household waste) the load will be weighed and charged the commercial tipping rate fee.
TIRES:
Tires are accepted at the Region 2000 Livestock Road Regional Landfill for rim sizes under 23" and are charged as noted below.
- 15" rim size or less - $2 charge per tire
- 15.5" rim size to 22.5" - $4 charge per tire
Note: Any tire with a rim size over 23" will not be accepted.
